On the evening of Friday, February 1st, 2013, Toronto jazz lovers will be treated to the return of one of Canada's foremost jazz ensembles, "THE HEILLIG MANOEUVRE". Following a seven year self-imposed intermission, bassist, composer, arranger and group founder, Henry Heillig has recently re-formed his popular quartet (with some exceptional new additions!) and is releasing their new, independent CD, 'TOONS. The current "HEILLIG MANOEUVRE" includes Stacie McGregor on piano, Henry Heillig on bass, Charlie Cooley on drums and Alison Young on saxophone. The Launch Event is taking place at "The Paintbox Bistro" - an intimate venue located in Toronto's newest and most impressive arts education and performance space - The Regent Park Centre for The Performing Arts, located at 585 Dundas St., East (www.regentparksarts.ca).

The Centre is an ambitious, state of the art facility that is dedicated to the stimulation, education, support and nurturing of the multiple artistic disciplines - including dance, theatre, music, visual and graphic arts - and providing that arts focus where it is needed most - in Toronto`s inner city projects (e.g. Regent Park). Regent Park is currently undergoing a marvelous transformation, and will soon be known nationally as a foremost urban arts hub. Henry Heillig is currently serving as the Curator of "The Paintbox Bistro" jazz series. The series will officially open on January 19th with a performance by Canadian jazz icon Archie Alleyne and his trio, featuring young trumpet sensation Alex Brown Cabrera and Special Guest Jackie Richardson. All are invited to join the celebration of Archie's 80th birthday!

"The Paintbox Bistro is located 555 Dundas St., East. "HEILLIG MANOEUVRE" will be performing on Friday, February 1st and performances will begin at 8pm. For reservations (highly recommended), please call 647-748-0555 or reserve online at www.paintboxbistro.ca
