Jordana Talsky’s debut album, Standard Deviation, marks the arrival of a serious young talent in Canadian jazz. The vocalist/songwriter has been turning heads (and ears) on the Toronto scene for the last three years, and her musical career now takes a giant leap forward with her debut recording, which features jazzy takes on pop, poppier takes on jazz and a few original compositions. The vocalist is joined by Scott Metcalfe on keys, Ross MacIntyre on bass, Colin Kingsmore on drums, Paul Metcalfe on saxophone, Eric St. Laurent on guitar and Brownman on trumpet.
