RoMARKABLE showcases Rozanne Levine (alto clarinet, Bb clarinet, bamboo flute, composer) and Mark Whitecage (alto sax, clarinet, electronics,composer). They each have their own groups and have performed with many of the leading internationally known improvising musicians. Their close association over four decades performing in each other's larger groups, and the inspiration they provide one another, led them to form a touring duo. Their performances of original compositions and free improvisations feature electronic manipulation of their horns alongside acoustic forays. Each performance is unique - the performers listen to one another with acute sensitivity and allow their creative interaction to flower with unforced naturalness.
